Indeed, through your gracious kindness and generosity, God’s love was felt by our leukemia patients and their families.

The past year saw many developments at EPCALM.  In May, coinciding with our 7th Founding Anniversary, we were blessed to have a new Executive Director—Emma Magsino. Also on our anniversary month, we were joined by Dr. Lorenzo Ku of LK Global, who was named as EPCALM Honorary Chair. In September, in a purposive move to embark on our corporate spiritual renewal and growth, EPCALM launched its monthly Prayer Cell as a time of worship, fellowship and prayer.  Leading the focused meditations is Mitchell Duran, who heads our Pastoral Care Ministry Program, under EPCALM’s Spiritual Arm. (Click here for our monthly Reflections in the EPCALM Prayer Cell).

The year 2012 was also a time for EPCALM to establish affiliations with more partners in our work to reach out to more needy brothers and sisters.  These include the following: Department of Social Work and Development, Philippine Blood Center, Area-Based Standards Network (ABS-NET) Quezon City Cluster, Ellinwood Malate Church, Union Church of Manila, Far Eastern University- National Service Training Program and St. Luke’s Medical Center’s cancer support group, Corridor of Hope.

We look forward to 2013 with renewed hope that EPCALM will be able to widen the scope of service to the afflicted and their families. To date, EPCALM has served 29 patients through its three arms of service; the spiritual arm, medical arm and financial arm.  Click current patient profiles above.
