“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24

Nobody was born wishing to be struck by cancer.

Every day, we pray that God gives us more strength than he did yesterday.
Battling cancer is one of the hardest things we’ve ever done.
Finding the strength to smile each day can’t be easy.

STAYING STRONG IS TOUGH.

Sabi nga nila (As they say) “we are not living anymore, we are now surviving.”
And I bet all of you, surviving isn’t easy. It is more tougher than you can imagine.

We ALL LEUKEMIA WARRIORS dedicated this video to our co warriors na lumisan na (that have died already)😭
Recently, 2 sa aming kasamahan sa Grupo ay nasa piling na ni Lord ilang araw lang ang pagitan ng pagkawala nila (two of our co-warriors have died and have joined our Lord, just a few days apart) 😭😭last week.

(We ALL LEUKEMIA WARRIORS are dedicating this video to our co warriors hat have died already. Recently, two of our co-warriors have died and have joined our Lord, just a few days apart last week).

(Already suffering from Leukemia and now compounded by the COVID19 virus restrictions, these circumstances are making the lives of us warriors very challenging.  In fact, one of our co-warriors has been going around the city for 2 days, looking for a hospital, as she/he needed to have blood transfusion already).

(Sad to say that hospital rejections are common, even if us warriors are already in a critical condition and have difficulty in breathing, we still cannot be accommodated by the hospitals, as most of these Hospitals prioritize the COVID patients).

(It is really hard to fight back, especially if you are at your lowest (physically and financially) and you know it is hard to defeat your opponent but the only one who strengthens us is none other than the Lord).

(With this organization that we have made, we band together because we can understand each other; we have become a big family despite that fact that we go for treatment in different hospitals and our cases are different. These are ALL, AML, CML, HCL, APL, CLL, which are the common LEUKEMIA DISEASES; but we have one desire, and that is that all of us will be healed).

(LEUKEMIA is a disease that you can’t see but affects you physically; it runs through your whole body from head to foot because LEUKEMIA is a disease of the blood; many say that you are not sick because there are just few or little physical manifestations (when you are in remission) or that you just want to go bald because it is an “in” thing or that you are just joking about your disease as the external manifestations are not obvious or you look okay, what’s wrong? These are what we hear from the “normal” people that we meet; how we wish though that our going bald is just so we want to be “in”; how we wish we that we would get well: Only a few people notice us Leukemia Warriors, especially us who are ADULT LEUKEMIA PATIENTs;  in fact there is only one Foundation that we are a part of; sometimes, we talk among ourselves as to why we are so overlooked by those in POSITION; are we not deserving  or worth the fight so that we can live further, for the sake of our families? wouldn’t it be ideal that we have an agency to go to who can meet our medical needs like PCSO / DSWD / LGU’s / GOVERNMENT Hospitals? Hayysss, if you only know how much hardships and pain that we have gone or are going through; or how expensive this disease is; how difficult to approach people to ask or plea for help; if you only knew the hardships that we have gone through, most of us would have given up and preferred just to die because of the hardships and cost of treatment even at the Government Hospital; furthermore if becomes doubly hard if you cannot find the blood needed for transfusion; it is ironic that our disease is caused by an abnormality in our blood that is causing us hardships, which is compounded when we still encounter more hardships by looking for blood for our transfusion).

Our experiences taught us how to be strong and more courageous. We hope that it inspires others to NEVER GIVE UP! No matter what life throw at us, let’s continue to strive and KEEP THE FAITH.

“TO TRUST GOD IN THE LIGHT IS NOTHING, BUT TO TRUST HIM IN THE DARK… THAT IS FAITH” 🙏
