Under the MOU, EMC joins hands with EPCALM in impressing upon its patient-beneficiaries to acknowledge that God is the Hope, the Healer and the Provider; and assist patients to experience God’s love and faithfulness. This will be operationalized through home and hospital visitations; pastoral support and counseling; intercessory prayers; and spiritual support and guidance to the patient’s family.

EMC will constitute a team of pastoral and intercessory leaders to minister to adult leukemia patients and their families. Further, EPCALM will assign a Coordinator for each leukemia patient, who will ensure their preparedness for EPCALM’s Pastoral Care Ministry Program services.  The assigned Coordinator will document all these activities and services, and provide regular updates of old and new patients to the EMC Pastor-in-Charge.

Moreover, EPCALM will provide seminar-workshops to EMC volunteers to equip them in understanding adult leukemia as a disease, the patient’s flow chart, managing grief and other training programs, which may be deemed necessary for the efficient delivery of its Spiritual Arm services. EPCALM will also  provide spiritual books, CDs and other information resources to be given or loaned out to leukemia patients.
